Hi, I'm Taryn Mazzuca
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years experience working with children and families across various settings such as in private practice, as well as providing pre- and post-adoption counseling and in-home services such as providing emotional and behavioral therapy for children ages 3 to 21. I enjoy working with all parts of the family, from kids ages 6 and up, to teens and young adults, as well as helping their parents or caregivers navigate the ups and downs of parenthood, wherever they are in their journey.
My therapy style focuses on an individualized and strengths based approach so we can utilize the skills and strengths you have to manage the more difficult areas. I provide a nurturing, non-judgmental and down to earth atmosphere in sessions to help my clients feel comfortable and at-ease. I incorporate creativity, play, and activities to help your child achieve their goals, whether they are to improve symptoms of depression, increase motivation, navigate anxiety around social or academic performance, or to just feel more comfortable with themselves.
My goal is to work with you to ensure that the therapy process is engaging and helpful out in the real world. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process to help you gain insight into your personal strengths and core beliefs about yourself. It is important to me to ensure that you feel valued, respected and nurtured as you work to achieve your therapeutic goals and live your life to the fullest potential.
If you are looking to help your child manage "big feelings", support your teen with adjustment challenges, or for yourself to strengthen your connection with your child, I would love to partner with you on that path.
Want to know a little more about me? I'm a twin mom, enjoy cooking and baking, doing yoga, going to Disney World and spending time with my family!
